Today, as I suspend my campaign, I congratulate him (Barack Obama) on the victory he has won and the extraordinary race he has run. I endorse him, and throw my full support behind him.

Hillary Clinton Would Repeal Parts of Defense of Marriage Act:

The New York Times reports that Sen. Hillary Clinton included in her response to a gay rights group's presidential questionnaire that she would like to repeal part of the Defense of Marriage Act, which was signed into law by then-President Bill Clinton in 1996.

Although her campaign maintains that she is against gay marriage, she would favor granting full federal recognition and benefits to same-sex relationships.

Ted Koppel on Hillary Clinton's Vow to 'Bring our troops home' Within Her First 100 Days

Sen. Clinton said only that she would bring 'our troops home'.  She did not say 'all our troops'.  Go back over the record, and you will never find Sen. Clinton being so incautious as to promise that she will withdraw all US forces from Iraq.

Now I'm FOR Artificial Timetables for Withdrawal, and Fast Ones at That!

MR. BLITZER: I want to go very quickly to everyone. What would be, Senator Clinton, your top priority in the first 100 days?

SEN. CLINTON: Well, if President Bush has not ended the war in Iraq, to bring our troops home.

"As we celebrate Gay and Lesbian Pride Month, I want to commend the LGBT community on a historic year that brought our country closer to equality and closer to ending discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender Americans

Just a year ago, I worked with my Democratic colleagues in the Senate as well as with LGBT leaders to defeat the divisive and discriminatory Federal Marriage Amendment (FMA). Since then, we not only defeated FMA, but we have been able to make real progress in achieving fairness for all Americans.

In fact, since June 2006, New Jersey and New Hampshire became the third and fourth states to adopt civil unions"

You say potatoe, I say tommorrow

Giving a speech for Silicon Valley CEOs in Santa Clara, Hillary Clinton stands at a podium, framed by a backdrop featuring the large slogan "New jobs for tommorrow", oblivious to the misspelling of tomorrow behind her.

Although she may not have mastered spell check, she portrayed herself to the 150 Silicon Valley CEOs as the hi-technology presidential candidate.

Hillary Accepts Aid From a Divisive Figure

May 2007- Sen. Hillary Clinton attends a fundraiser held in her honor in Jefferson Parish, which is just outside of New Orleans, Louisiana.  Sheriff Harry Lee of Jefferson Parish served as a host committee member for the event.

Sheriff Lee has been widely criticized for his actions after Hurricane Katrina.  When mostly African-American hurricane evacuees traveled across a bridge from New Orleans to the relative safety of Jefferson Parish, Sheriff Lee's deputies forced them to turn around and return to flood-ravaged New Orleans.  The Sheriff maintained that he and his deputies had “a duty to protect our people.”

The New York Times reported: "A Clinton campaign spokeswoman declined to comment on Mrs. Clinton’s views of Sheriff Lee’s actions in 2005 or on his fund-raising support."

"It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the few, by the few and for the few, time to reject the idea of an "on your own" society and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."

Bill & Hillary Clinton's Whitewater business partners, Arkansas Gov. Jim Guy Tucker and Jim & Susan McDougal, are convicted of fraud charges relating to small-business loans fraudulently applied for, and which partially paid for expenses of the Whitewater venture.

President Bill Clinton and his wife, Hillary, were not charged in the case, although President Clinton was called as a witness by his business partners.

According to David Hale, who had originated the loans, Bill Clinton had orally requested that the loans be approved, but had specifically requested that the Clintons' names be kept off of all loan documents.  Hale also testified that during loan discussions, Jim McDougall had declared that the loans were for the benefit of the Arkansas "political family".

The Clinton White House's director of administration, David Watkins, is forced to resign, after a Maryland newspaper reported that Watkins and two other Clinton Administration officials had used the President's helicopter, Marine One, for transportation on a golf outing

According to an estimate by the Marine Corps, the cost of the helicopter trip would have amounted to $4,760.

After the golf outing was reported by the Frederick News-Post, the White House initially defended the trip, calling it "a very appropriate mission," and claimed that the officials were scouting the course for a future outing by the President

Announcing the resignation, however, the White House press secretary admitted that the trip had nothing to do with any planned trip by President Clinton.

Revenge & Retribution

The U.S. Senate votes 88-1 to confirm Michael Chertoff to a judgeship on the 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia, and also votes 95-1 to confirm Viet Dinh as an assistant attorney general.

On both votes, Senator Hillary Clinton was the only "nay", despite voicing no opposition during the debate on the nominations

Six years earlier, Chertoff had served as the Senate's chief counsel in its Whitewater investigation.

Three years earlier, Viet Dinh had served as a staffer in the Senate Whitewater investigation and also previously served in the impeachment trial of Hillary's husband, President Bill Clinton.
